At 80th Glasgow, girls can expect to make new friends, learn and experience new things and have lots of fun.
Officers & Leaders
Gillian Green is the Captain of 80th Glasgow Girls Brigade, with Joanne Ross as first serving Officer. Both assisted by helpers Ann Green & Christine Skinner.
We meet in normal times in the Church Hall on a Tuesday evening from 6pm until 7.30pm. On joining the brigade we ask for £24.50 per girl towards our Capitation Fees; which covers our insurance, GB Scotland central costs.
We charge a weekly collection of £2.00 which can also be paid in advance at the start of each session, if it’s easier. The weekly collection helps us pay for activities throughout the year, our awards, badges, badge work and any contributes to offsetting the cost of trips and parties throughout the year.
In addition we do organise fundraising events, such as Santa’s Grotto & Bring and Buy at the Christmas Fayre.
The girls work in three groups; Explorers (P1 - P3), Juniors (P4 - P7) and Brigaders S1 upwards during their time with us. Each group will have dedicated time to work across their various elements of badge work such as physical, educational, spiritual leading to our annual parents evening when badge work awards are presented.
We have an active Facebook page, which is continually managed to allow us to share our Tuesday evening activities.
