Messy Church

G33 Messy Church is a joint venture between Stepps Parish Church and St Joseph’s Church. It is a way of being church for families which enables people to encounter Jesus in a relaxed space.

Messy Church is all about being Christ-centred, for all ages, creativity, hospitality and celebration, and these five values are at the heart of what makes this way of being church work. It is primarily aimed for people who don’t already belong to another form of church.

A session typically includes a welcome, a long creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and chance to eat and drink together.

We are currently not meeting because of COVID-19, however usually we would meet every 6 to 8 weeks either at St Joseph’s Halls on Wednesdays 3:15-5:00pm or Stepps Parish Church Halls on Fridays 3:15-5:00pm.

Our sessions are advertised on the G33 Messy Church Facebook page.

If these session times aren’t suitable, Messy Church also runs at Millerston Church, Hogganfield on Sunday afternoons.

Messy Church is part of an international movement. For more information visit the Messy Church website
