In June the Young Christian Climate Network (YCCN) began the 1200-mile walk from Truro (in Cornwall) to Glasgow. They are walking for Climate Justice.

They left Truro following the G7 (the meeting of the leaders of the world’s wealthiest nations) and they will be arriving in Glasgow at the very end of October, just before the start of COP26 (the international climate conference which is likely to shape the future of life on our planet).

On the 6th September, Glasgow Churches Together, along with Christian Aid, SCIAF and Tearfund would love you and people from your church to come along to hear from members of YCCN.

Together we will hear about:

· the changes that need to happen if a climate catastrophe is to be avoided;

· what needs to happen if the world’s poorest are not to suffer the most;

· what we can do to support the work of YCCN as they travel to Glasgow and while they are in the city.

The YCCN pilgrims have walked with a small, specially crafted boat all the way from Cornwall. It is a recognition that whilst we are all caught in the same storm, we are not all in the same boat. Climate Change, like Covid-19, is impacting the poorest and most marginalised the hardest. As Christians, as human beings, we have a responsibility to challenge that injustice.
