At the very heart of our church life is listening for God’s Word through worship, and this is reflected in our services. As well as time for prayer and singing, we read and study the Bible together as we consider what it says, what it means, and why it matters
Morning worship is at 11am each Sunday. The young people are in church for the beginning of the service and then go to the halls for Sunday Club. A crèche is available for children under 3. Both the congregation and the Sunday Club use teaching materials based on the Revised Common Lectionary and use material from “Spill the Beans”, an exciting way of exploring God’s Story and Our Story that is designed for the whole church family
We use CH4 for the majority of our praise items – but occasionally include items from other sources when appropriate. The church has both an organ and a piano and these are both used to accompany the congregational singing – we have also been known to sing unaccompanied from time to time!
Our aim is that weekly worship is accessible, inspirational and inclusive. A variety of different styles are used depending on the occasion.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the last Sunday of the month, either as part of the main service of worship or afterwards in the East Transept Chapel.Sundays at 11am: Join us for Worship.
